Have you gotten to a point in your project where you have a reaction like “meh, I guess this will work”? What if you had the option of adding a little something extra to put it over the top like… 8-ft FLAMES?!

KindleArts is a not-for profit society operated by a group of volunteers out of Victoria, BC who’s purpose is to nurture creativity in everyone and to help “kindle it” into a fire of artistic self-expression.

From May 7th to 8th KindleArts and Victoria Makerspace are putting on a Flame Effects for the Artist Workshop at Makerspace’s studio. This workshop is for all artists, mechanical enthusiasts and anyone who wishes to incorporate fire aspects into their projects. This is your chance to learn how to meet NFPA standards, hear from others working flame effects where you live and have fun while learning safe practices. The workshop fee is $175USD, but the look on everyone’s faces when you blow their minds with fire is… priceless.

Listen to Dan Gunn below on the Zone@91.3FM’s morning show as he discusses his very own art car and as he explains KindleArts in greater detail (including info on their events “Other World” and “Spring Mingle“, plus their grant programs).
